Sor Juana's Groupies

Sor Juana’s Groupies is a collective - La Colectiva- of Spanish-language women authors based in the United States who believe that collaboration creates opportunities that are difficult to achieve alone.

Rather than competing for the same spaces, we seek to work together to increase our collective presence at book fairs, literary festivals, cultural events, libraries, universities, and bookstores. By joining forces, we aim to expand the visibility of our books, strengthen our professional networks, and create new opportunities to reach readers.

Our members represent diverse genres, countries, and literary voices.

Our initial focus is to create greater access to literary events and public-facing opportunities as a collective. Looking ahead, we hope to expand our work to include initiatives such as translation opportunities, rights promotion, and other collaborative projects.
